A clinical dietician provides a dietetic service to patients referred by a hospital doctor, in both the acute setting in the Mid-Western Regional Hospital and also in the rehabilitation and continuing care setting at St Camillus Hospital. On receipt of a written referral by a hospital doctor, an individual will be seen by the dietician as an in-patient or as an out-patient, as relevant at that time.

Once a month an outpatient clinic is held at St Camillus, by appointment only – referrals via medical day hospital at St Camillus Hospital or direct referral from a consultant or member of their team.
